DRAM - The Database of Recorded American Music (DRAM) is a scholarly resource of over 7,500 recordings by American composers and artists, from folk to opera, Native American to jazz, 19th-century classical to early rock, music theater, contemporary. The fully searchable database includes the complete catalog of New World Records and substantial repertoire from CRI , Albany Records, Innova Recordings, etc., as well as the liner notes and essays from these labels. Naxos Music Library - Audio database of more than 5,500 CDs in the Naxos, Marco Polo, and Da Capo catalogs. These include classical music, jazz, blues, world music, and Chinese music. FOR MAC USERS: Naxos requires that you have installed the latest version of Windows Media Player for Macintosh. In order to download and install it, you will first need the latest version of Stuffit Expander as well which may not be already installed on your computer. First, download and install the current version of Stuffit Expander here: Stuffit Expander . Next, download and install the latest version of Windows Media Player for Mac here: Windows Media Player . RISM - The International Inventory of Musical Sources represents a world-wide effort to identify and describe sources of music (manuscripts and early printed editions) and writings about music from the earliest times through ca. 1825. Only series A/II: "Music Manuscripts after 1600" is available online. RISM Series A, B, and C are available in the Allen Library. UH access only.

CAIRSS for Music - CAIRSS (Computer-Assisted Information Retrieval Service System) is a bibliographic database containing more than 16,000 citations from over 1,350 journals in music education, music psychology, music therapy, and music medicine.

Canadian Music Periodical Index - CMPI is an index to Canadian music periodical literature which provides bibliographic sources for information on all aspects of musical activity in Canada. Updated monthly, the database currently includes more than 25,000 entries indexed from 475 Canadian music periodicals.

RILM Abstracts - RILM (Répertoire International de Littérature Musicale) includes abstracts and citations from books, journals, newsletters, conference proceedings, catalogs, dissertations, and reports of governments and international bodies from 1967 to the present. Beyond music, RILM also accesses related disciplines such as dance, archeology, religion and linguistics. The Allen Library holds printed volumes from 1967-1994. UH access only.

RIPM - RIPM: Retrospective Index to Music Periodicals (1800-1950) provides access to contemporary writings about composers, performers, etc. There are over 380,000 citations, including 190,000 reviews and 8,000 biographical entries. UH access only.
