Collaboration Spaces

Mortensen Library

  • Collaboration Units, located on the main level near the Reference/ITS desk, there are two types of tables. Type 1 has a large monitor with a computer on a large table which seats five and includes a wireless mouse and keyboard. Type 2 has a curved monitor with a computer and accommodates up to three users. The units are available on a first-come first-served basis. However, the Harrison Libraries staff will regulate use by time or purpose at its discretion during busy times.

  • Curriculum Lab, Room 305 located on upper level, includes a seminar table for up to ten people, and has a whiteboard, a projector, and Smart Podium. Available on a first-come, first-served basis. At times, the room may be reserved by Education Department faculty, and Harrison Libraries staff will regulate use by time or purpose at its discretion during busy times.

  • Group Study, Room 306, located on the upper level, includes a large table for group work, a whiteboard, and a traditional chalkboard. The room key must be charged from Circulation Department (four-hour limit).

  • Presentation Room 309, located on the upper level includes a seminar table for up to ten (10) people, with a whiteboard, and a touch screen large projector computer (a wireless mouse and keyboard may be charged out with the key).   • Collaboration Room 310, located on the upper level, is intended primarily for small group research purposes. The room contains three monitors and keyboards that will work with one computer, and a larger monitor for group work. The room key must be charged from Circulation Department (4 hour limit).   • Small Collaboration Rooms 311–314, located on the upper level. Each room includes one large screen monitor, two keyboards, and two mice. Each room is equipped with ports and plugs for laptops and other devices. The rooms are first-come, first-served basis. The room key must be charged from Circulation Department (four-hour limit). Allen Library

  • Large Seminar Room L136, is available to faculty for classes and lectures, and to student groups by reservation with an Allen Library staff member. It seats up to 20 people and is equipped with a projector, large display monitor, Mac mini computer, electric keyboard, and a full complement of listening and viewing equipment. Contact the Allen Public Services Coordinator (860.768.4459) for additional information or to reserve the room.

  • Small Seminar Room L132, is available to faculty for classes and lectures, and to student groups by reservation with an Allen Library staff member. When the room is not reserved, it may be used first-come, first-served. The room seats 8 people and is equipped with a large display monitor, Mac mini computer, electric keyboard, and a full complement of listening and viewing equipment. Contact the Allen Public Services Coordinator (860.768.4459) for additional information or to reserve the room.

  • Listening/Viewing Rooms L135, L137, L138, are available on a first-come, first-served basis, though priority is given to Hartt faculty meetings or students needing equipment not found elsewhere in the library. The rooms each include a large display monitor and a full complement of listening and viewing equipment.
