Classical Music Library
Audio database containing tens of thousands of tracks of classical music from Medieval to contemporary. The database also provides links to associated reference resources such as Oxford Music Online (formerly, Grove Music Online). UH access only.

DRAM
DRAM is a scholarly resource of over 7,500 recordings by American composers and artists, from folk to opera, Native American to jazz, 19th-century classical to early rock, music theater, contemporary. The fully searchable database includes the complete catalog of New World Records and substantial repertoire from CRI , Albany Records, Innova Recordings, etc., as well as the liner notes and essays from these labels. Years Covered: 1973-Present
Index to more than 640 international music periodicals from 1973-present. Comprehensive coverage of a broad range of subjects including personalities; music history; forms and types of music; musical instruments; reviews of books, recordings, and performances; first performances; and obituaries. Allen Library has Printed volumes: 1949-1998, [Ref] ML113 M9. Includes abstracts.

Naxos Music Library
Audio database of more than 30,000 CDs. These include classical music, jazz, blues, popular, and world music.

Oxford Music Online
Formerly Grove Music Online, Comprises the full text of The Oxford Dictionary of Music (2002), The Oxford Companion to Music, 2nd ed. (2006), The New Grove Dictionary of Opera (1992), The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians: 2nd ed., (2001; REF ML100 G8 2001), and The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz, 2nd ed., (2002; REF ML102 J3 N48 2001)

RILM
Years Covered: 1967-Present
RILM (Répertoire International de Littérature Musicale) includes abstracts and citations from books, journals, newsletters, conference proceedings, catalogs, dissertations, and reports of governments and international bodies from 1967 to the present. Beyond music, RILM also accesses related disciplines such as dance, archeology, religion and linguistics. The Allen Library holds printed volumes from 1967-1994.

RIPM
Years Covered: 1800-1950
RIPM: Retrospective Index to Music Periodicals (1800-1950) provides access to contemporary writings about composers, performers, etc. There are over 380,000 citations, including 190,000 reviews and 8,000 biographical entries.

RISM
"The International Inventory of Musical Sources (Répertoire International des Sources Musicales) represents a worldwide effort to identify and describe sources of music and writings about music from the earliest times through ca. 1825." The searchable databases include music manuscripts, libretti, online library directory; etc.
