Background
The Hartford Art School was originally founded in 1877 as the Decorative Arts Society of Hartford. The school became one of the three schools that came together in 1957 to form the University of Hartford.
Scope & Content
Most of the material dates from the early 1900s through the 1980s. The Hartford Art School also maintains an archive.
