Allen Library

The Allen Library has three listening/viewing rooms suitable for small groups. Each room is equipped with speakers, large screen video monitor, media player (CD, Bluetooth, USB), turntable, cassette deck, DVD player, VCR, and Blu-ray player. One room is also equipped with a reel-to-reel tape player. Three individual listening carrels house additional audio equipment for use with headphones available from the Circulation Desk.

Two seminar rooms fitted with a full complement of listening and viewing equipment are available to faculty for classes and meetings, as well as to groups of students by reservation with an Allen Library staff member. Contact the Allen Public Services Coordinator (860.768.4459) for additional information or to reserve the rooms.

Most computers in Allen are equipped with optical drives for CD and DVD listening/viewing with headphones available from the Circulation Desk. A portable optical drive is also available for four-hour use.
